A little bit about me…

I’m a communications and journalism student, with a dream to be a novelist.
Of course, I want to study and practice journalism. Write news stories, host radio stations, work with TV networks. It’s another dream of mine – the more practical dream, and one I’m very keen to pursue and hopefully build a career out of.
But creative writing, fiction, the imagination: it’s my other dream – my main dream – one I’ve had longer than journalism. It’s my passion, and one I won’t stop working towards.

I guess this blog is another small steppingstone for me to express my creativity through writing, while I’m studying my communications and journalism degree. This blog is me embracing my passions that I can often neglect; it is a constant reminder of what I want to work towards.
I moved from a small town in New South Wales called Taree (some of you might have to Google Maps that one). I grew up there, but from as young as I can remember, I’ve wanted to move to a city, to study at a university – and I’m doing exactly that, with Griffith University on the Gold Coast.
Living on the Gold Coast gives me the opportunities and lifestyle that I’ve been craving for years. I plan to complete my studies and possibly start a career here – who knows which city is next on the conquer list.
(That’s a lie – I’ve set the red dot on Melbourne).
